Business Travel – Part # 1 – Journey of One Dude

Finally I’m heading home. It’s been a long business trip for me and honestly I miss my cozy bed. I’ve had enough of sleeping in hotel rooms, business, business trip, business travel, los angeles, las vegas, nevada, californiaeating junk food, drinking, going through customs and waiting at airports. Speaking of airports, I’m actually waiting for my next flight in the Philadelphia International Airport. So, what better way to pass 2.5 hours of time than by logging in and writing up a quick post. I guess you can say I’m addicted to my blog in some way, and I probably am, so I’ll just roll with it.

Ten days on the road for business sure beats the heck of you. This trip took a good beating on me, yet on a positive note it was quite a successful business trip. Two trade shows, three cities, one overbooked flight, two layovers and lots of travel sums up my ten day business trip.

Despite everything that comes with business travel, I must say that I enjoy traveling for business. It’s a lot of work, organization, preparation, unnecessary thinking and patience. Despite it all I somehow managed to stay sane.

For those of you that didn’t know, I’ve been away on a business trip for the last ten days. My first stop was in Las Vegas, Nevada for our annual trade show in Las Vegas. This trade show also happens to be the one that my self and all the co-workers look forward to. It gives us an opportunity to share some laughs, bond and work together as a team towards a common goal.

I also look forward to Las Vegas for another reason. It gives me an opportunity to get out of the frigid cold temperatures of Toronto and into more cozier temperatures in Las Vegas. Even though this year was barely mild in Las Vegas, I still got the opportunity to escape the snow in Toronto. And I’ll take warmth over cold any day of the year.

After spending seven seven days in Las Vegas, I headed to Hartford, CT. I’ve never been to Hartford or Connecticut for that matter, but I can comfortably say that I’d never live there. It’s senior citizen central. No one seems happy. It rains a lot. And on top of it all, I believe the state of Connecticut has one of the highest state taxes. Not attractive.

Despite a lengthy business trip, I’m glad to be heading home. I promise to share more in depth info about my trip in another post. I’ll also include some pictures. My business travel does involve some downtime as well, so I took full advantage of the downtime.

Rather than keep you guessing, I’ll leave you with a few clues. Think Los Angeles, LA Clippers, Toronto Raptors, Hollywood and a lot of driving. So, that’s it for now. I got a flight to catch and some sleep to catch up on.

Have a fabulous weekend peeps!

Eddie
